The City of
Greensboro announces the city will be celebrating “Georgia Cities Week” October
4-10. The theme of this year’s Georgia Cities Week is “Building the 2020
Vision.”
Cities across
Georgia will be celebrating Georgia Cities Week, sponsored by the Georgia
Municipal Association (GMA), to showcase and celebrate cities and the many
services they provide.
“We’re very
proud of our city and the services we provide that make it attractive to
residents and visitors,” said Mayor Glenn Wright. “Cities provide the services
and infrastructure to help businesses grow and set the stage for events where
families and individuals can gather as a community.”
In honor of
Georgia Cities Week, Greensboro will be hosting a coloring contest for children
ages twelve and under. Children may color the page printed in the Greensboro
Herald Journal and bring their submission to Greensboro City Hall. Submissions
will be posted in the windows at City Hall and may even be featured on the
city’s Facebook page. Submissions should be placed in the City Hall drop box by
Friday, October 9, 2020.
